The Australian Cattle Veterinarians (ACV) is a special interest group of the Australian Veterinary Association and is proud to have been selected to host the XXVIII World Buiatrics Congress from the 27th July to the 1st August 2014.

Buiatrics is the study of cattle and their diseases. The World Buiatrics Congress is recognised as the “Olympic Games of conferences” for people who study cattle. This congress is the official gathering of the World Association of Buiatrics, of which ACV is a member organisation.

Cairns? Where is that?
Cairns, which has its own international airport, is situated in Tropical Far North Queensland and is one of Australia’s most incredible destinations right near the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. The region is alive with aboriginal culture, is home to the the Kuranda Rainforest and right near the prime agricultural area - the Atherton Tablelands home to much of the Queensland dairy industry.

Two optional tours are offered on our registration form, both are offered both Pre and Post the congress on Saturday 26 July and Friday 1 August after the Congress so that delegates can choose which best suits their travel arrangements, or to do both if they so desire.
These pre and post congress tours must be pre-paid when booked either when you register OR alternatively please contact the secretariat in writing.
